Our Story

Natural Pet Pantry has been a hit with Northwest pets since 2000 when our foods were prepared in a small home kitchen. The business quickly outgrew its cozy confines, and in 2001 our Burien store opened its doors as the Northwest’s first local brick and mortar raw, species-appropriate pet food producer and retailer.

In 2004, as product demand grew, delivery was made available to neighboring areas. Our products’ popularity increased as word of mouth spread, resulting in requests for service area expansion. Our current service area spans from Seattle and the Eastside, south to Tacoma, and north to Everett.

In 2014 another dream was realized with the launch of a second much larger Kirkland storefront, offering a wide selection of premium Made in USA pet products as well as a unique customer experience. We’ve taken our dedication in promoting holistic pet care and given it a platform at the new store with hosted learning events featuring noted holistic pet health providers. We’re honored to present our community with such esteemed leaders who’ve helped establish our Kirkland store as a Learning Hub for holistic pet care enthusiasts. As part of our commitment to bettering the lives of all animals, we frequently host pet adoption and fundraising events, and support several rescue groups by donating our NPP meals to rescued neglect cases in desperate need of nutritional support while recovering in foster care.

In 2015 we upgraded all our vegetables to be 100% USDA Certified Organic.

We’re amazed by the level of support and positive feedback we’ve received from our community following the opening of NPP Kirkland. It’s reaffirmed our convictions, and fueled our commitment to continue pushing boundaries, and changing what most have come to expect from a “Pet Food & Supply Store”.
