Raw Meaty Bones for Seattle Dogs and Cats

A raw meaty bone is a bone with the meat still on it: poultry necks, beef knuckle bones, marrow bones. Gnawing works the jaw, scrapes plaque and tartar off the teeth, and delivers calcium, glucosamine, and chondroitin the way nature packaged them. Every bone on this page is raw and frozen, never cooked, from our own kitchen or from brands we trust.

Raw, Never Cooked

Raw bone stays soft and pliable. Cooked bone splinters and should never be fed.

Natural Dental Care

The gnawing action scrapes away plaque and tartar and freshens breath.

Necks Made in Seattle

Our chicken and duck necks come from the same human-grade poultry as our meals.

Sized for Every Chewer

From 1 inch bones for toy breeds to a 4.5 pound knuckle bone for heavy chewers.

Frequently Asked Raw Meaty Bone Questions

Our Kirkland and Burien stores keep a freezer stocked with raw meaty bones for sale: our own chicken and duck necks, Happy Tails turkey necks and beef knuckle bones, and Tucker's beef and bison marrow bones. Stop in and a nutrition consultant can help you pick a size for your dog or cat. If you would rather order online, every raw bone for sale here rides along with any home delivery order across the greater Seattle area, from Everett to Tacoma.
A raw meaty bone is an uncooked bone with meat and connective tissue still attached, fed as a chew rather than a meal. Poultry necks, beef knuckle bones, and marrow bones are the common ones. Because it is raw, the bone stays soft enough to gnaw, and the work of ripping and chewing scrubs plaque and tartar off the teeth. Necks also supply calcium, glucosamine, and chondroitin. A cooked bone is a different thing: cooking makes bone brittle, so it can splinter, and it should never be fed.
Match the bone to the dog. Chicken necks are sized right for small dogs and most cats, and duck necks are bigger and meatier for stronger chewers. Turkey necks and the 2 inch bison marrow bones suit small to medium dogs, while the 1 inch beef and bison bones are cut for toy breeds and small dogs. For large dogs and heavy chewers, a raw beef knuckle bone (about 4.5 pounds and rich in marrow) lasts the longest. Whatever the size, supervise the first few chews and feed on a surface you can wipe down.
Yes, as long as the bone is raw and small enough for a cat to work on. The best raw bones for cats are poultry necks: our chicken necks are sized for most cats, and duck necks suit bigger cats and strong chewers. A raw poultry neck does for a cat what it does for a dog: the gnawing scrubs the teeth, and the bone supplies calcium and glucosamine. Skip the beef and bison bones, which are made for dogs, and never give a cat a cooked bone of any kind. Supervise the first few times and feed on a surface you can wipe down.
Yes. Every raw bone we sell is frozen, and you can feed it straight from the freezer. A frozen neck or marrow bone lasts longer, and on a hot day it doubles as a cooling chew. If your dog prefers it thawed, move it to the refrigerator for 24 to 48 hours. Once thawed, use it within 2 to 3 days and do not refreeze it. Either way, feed on a surface you can wipe down and refrigerate any leftovers.
Yes. Add necks or bones to any order and they go out frozen with the rest of it, in our own refrigerated van, in an insulated container that keeps everything frozen for up to 24 hours after drop-off. Delivery runs from Everett to Tacoma for a flat $5.95 per order with a $100 minimum, and you can set bones to repeat every 2 or 4 weeks alongside your pet's food so you never run out.

“My frenchie was regurgitating everything she ate. When I finally arrived at NPP, Shelly spent so much time informing me of the different proteins and gave samples of each type. My girls experience this store as their personal Disneyland and love each of the associates here.”
